Ensemble KはSimone Menezesによって設立された小規模な楽団です。Simone Menezesはイタリア-ブラジル系でフランスを拠点にした女性指揮者。

project"K"はこれが初めての録音らしく、ネットにあまり情報がありません。写真を見る限り若い音楽家たちが集まっているよるようです。弦楽器、木管楽器、それに鍵盤楽器による編成です。

収録されている曲は、最初はボロディンの「だったん人の踊り」だったりします。この曲は、自分の場合そのムカシ、ストコフスキー盤などで刷り込まれているので、Ensemble Kでの演奏は全く異質の音楽として聴こえます。打楽器部分は鍵盤楽器（ピアノ）に置き換えられたりと、少編成楽団ですから、各所編曲されており、印象が異なるのも当然です。しかし、なんとも泥臭いだったん人が、上品に蘇る様には、時を隔てて若干の驚きさえ感じました。

続く、ドビュッシーの牧神の午後への前奏曲は非常に自然です。コープランドのアパラチアの春は、コープランドの三大バレエの一曲、あまり馴染みが無いのですけど非常に美しく優雅な曲で楽しめます。

4曲目にヴィラ・ロボスの曲が入る当たりは、Menezesらしい選曲と言えるのでしょうか。

と、ここまできて、改めて確認すると、ディスクのタイトルが「アクセント、訛り」であることに気付きました。ロシア、フランス、アメリカ、ブラジルなど、各国の西洋音楽を並べて見せて、それぞれの音楽の違いとか特性みたいなものを浮き上がらせています。

最後はフランスの作曲家 Sohie Lacazeによる現代音楽です。

とても野心的で魅力的な盤でありました。

Simone Menezes

Italo-Brazilian conductor based in France, Simone Menezes is known for her artistic leadership and innovation. With a visionary and cosmopolitan personality, she explores new creative interpretative possibilities, mixing the Standard and Contemporary repertory. At 20 years old, she created her first orchestra, also founded the Camerata Latino Americana, distinguished in the International Society for the Performing Arts of New York, and co-founded the “Villa-Lobos Project”, an international project dedicated to brazilian classical repertory. In 2017, she arrives in Europe where she will be quickly renown for her talent, and became invited conductor by many prestigious orchestras. Recently engagements include orchestras such as Rotterdams Philharmonic Orchestra (Holland), Orchestre National d’Ile de France, Orchestre National du Pays de la Loire, Orchestre National de l'Opera de Lorraine (France), Orquestra Sinfonica Nacional (Rio de Janeiro - Brazil), Osaka Symphony Orchestra, between others. She has recorded 2 CDs and premiered over 20 works. In 2019 she was second place in the European Competition of Female Conductor Mawoma - Maestra Women in Vienne. In 2020 her debut his new project "K" based in the geographical triangle Brussels - North France - Paris. In 2021, among others, she will conduct a project based in the theme of the Amazon Rainforest in partnership with an exhibition of the great photographer Sebastiao Salgado.
